A few days ago, my son, Thomas and I braved a chilly, not to mention muddy evening to try for a Barn Owl reported roosting in 'the Little Owl hole'. This is located in an Oak tree at the sheep paddocks at our 'local patch' http://holmethorpe.blogspot.com/. We weren't too disappointed to see just the resident Little Owl and enjoy watching the wintery sunset; lovely!
Great to see you blogging Jerry. I'm looking forward to reading (and seeing) all about your family outdoor exploits. Needless to say, I've linked you to North Downs and Beyond. Happy New Year to the Blumires!
ReplyDeleteCheers Steve, and a very Happy New Year to you too! I don't think I'll ever get anywhere near to your entertaining way with words; the plan is to 'hide' behind the visuals.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos :) The sky looks stunning!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sarah, It was a VERY soggy evening - you should have seen our floor when we got back and after Thomas' wheels had been over it a few times!
