The Olympics at Wembley.

My birthday present was a trip up to London with tickets to the Olympic Final of the Women's Football at Wembley Stadium!
Thomas liked the idea of wearing his Surrey County Cricket shirt at the footy.

The final was Japan v USA
Congratulations to theUSA, they won 2 1. Here they are with their gold medals.
So far GB have won a fabulous 25 gold medals but the USA have nearly 40 - incredible!!

Back at the van and time to go home.

      Ann I've never been to Wembley before, so to combine that with some Olympic action was as you say, something we'll always remember.

    Glad you had a great evening out Jerry. The Gale family went to see Korea v Gabon at Wembley last week. To prove the GB public have embraced the Olympian concept, 76,000 people were in attendance - the atmosphere was tremendous and our transport flawless - well done LOCOG.

    Belated Birthday Wishes Jerry. You lucky lot I bet that was an occassion to behold. Judging by the telly all the Olympic events seem to have had tremendous crowd support so I hope all your eardrums are still in one piece. Take care all. xx

    Oh Jerry what a fabulous birthday gift.A much belated Happy Birthday to you.You captured the atmosphere perfectly.A friend of mine also went to the match and told me that both teams played exceptionally well.The games are something we can all remember with pride.Oh, and I almost forgot to say how much I like the night time photo, it's outstanding.
